Zeitgeist - Part 1 is based on the truth 2 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Egyptian Myth and Legend - Donald Mackenzie

"In our historical narrative the reader is kept in touch with the great civilizations of the Cretans, Hittites, Babylonians, Assyrians, c., which influenced and were influenced. by Egypt. Special attention is also devoted to Palestine and the great figures in Biblical narrativeJoseph, Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Nahum, and the notable kings of Israel and Judah. There are numerous quotations from the Old Testament, and especially from the prophets who dealt with the political as well as the religious problems of their times. To students of the Bible this part of the volume should make special appeal. It is impossible to appreciate to the full the power and sagacity of Isaiah's sublime utterances without some knowledge of the history of ancient Egypt."
Pag, 3 EGYPTIAN MYTH AND LEGEND - Donald Mackenzie
(Influence Fertile Crescent)

They began their year with the rising of the star Sirius (Sothos) at the height of the Nile inundation. and it was divided into twelve months of thirty days each, five extra days being added for religious festivals associated with agricultural rites.
Pág 21, EGYPTIAN MYTH AND LEGEND - Donald Mackenzie
(resurection)

"There are several forms of Horus. The most familiar is the hawk, which symbolized the spirit of the sun"
Pág 85, EGYPTIAN MYTH AND LEGEND - Donald Mackenzie
(Spirit of Sun, or Messiah solar)

"He was also Harmachis, "Horus of the Two Horizons", and in this character became one of the chief forms of Ra"
Pág 86, EGYPTIAN MYTH AND LEGEND - Donald Mackenzie
(God of Son, or Messiah solar)

"he was "Horus of the Two Eyes", the sun being one and the
moon another"
Pág 86, EGYPTIAN MYTH AND LEGEND - Donald Mackenzie
(omnipresent, allseeing)

"I have done no evil against any man.
I have done no evil against any man.
I have never caused my kinsfolk to be put to death,
I have not caused false witnesses to speak in the Hall of justice.
I have not done that which is hated by the gods..."
Pág 59, EGYPTIAN MYTH AND LEGEND - Donald Mackenzie
("Ten Commandments", The Book of the Dead)

Other references can be found in the book "Le Miracle egyptien" Schwaller de Lubicz, whose work led to the documentary "The Eye of Horus", _base_d on the work of one of the most famous Egyptology, along with Champollion, who for 15 years searched for a very important temple in Ancient Egypt, the Temple of Luxor.

Many people are watching the "Zeitgeist Debunked" (especially the religious), as saying that the Zeitgeist (Part 1) was refulted. But was not, anyone watching this documentary will see a narrator arrested the literalness of the Bible and trying to discredit their references of zeitgeist because they Egyptology, or occult, etc... someone can understand?

Very sad...

I am neither pro or anti Christianity, but I will point out that the "science" of archeology has for centuries been the province of people who have "played" with evidence so as to make it "fit" certain world and cultural views of their day. A good book which proves conclusively that this still goes on is "Forbidden Archeology" by Cremo. However, concerning the INTERPRETATION of cultural aspects of Ancient Egypt, I would not bet a dime on the validity of ANYTHING published by present-day "specialists", "experts", and "Egyptologists". To swallow anything these people offer is foolish in the extreme. Why? Firstly, because no one can verify the validity of what they're offering. "Egyptology" is a closed club. If you doubt it, just look at the UNIFORM reaction of Egyptologists to the very clear evidence that the Sphinx is much older than originally dated, and that it probably PRE-DATES Egyptian culture! This is established by the weathering of the stones it is constructed of and the fact that the "weathering" was due to WATER, not wind and sand.....indicating ( to everyone EXCEPT the Egyptologists !!! ) that the Sphinx suffered severe deterioration when the land was WET, RAIN-SOAKED, and GREEN.
So, any interpretations of the God forms of the Egyptians and what these figures symbolized or what sort of characteristics may have been ascribed to them by their followers is highly suspect in my view simply because Egyptologists have an agenda - a DOGMATIC AGENDA - which has surfaced again and again ( most recently in the case of the "weathering" of the Sphinx ).
In other words, I don't trust the rank and file Egyptologists to produce or submit anything to the public which varies from their very rigid dogma and desire for how ancient history is understood.
Furthermore, it is well known that Egyptologists ( and those entities and institutions which fund their antics ) have had an axe to grind with Christianity. Considering this, it would not surprise me if it was set policy to _link_ Christ with Horus, Set with Satan, and so on. Such _link_ing serves to discredit the beliefs of Christians and thus weaken the Christian religion.
This video presentation offers its viewers "facts" which amount to information taken from various sources ( some of these sources being Egyptologists ) who obviously follow an agenda. Equally, the presentation is a "True Believer" type of approach. There is no "maybe", "perhaps", "possibly" involved. Also, there is no mention of positions being "one interpretation among several". Instead, the content is offered to the viewer as "This is THE TRUTH".
Logically, there IS NO "TRUTH" in terms of ancient history. There is only INTERPRETATION. No one today can time-travel back to any past civilization in order to verify if or if not their theories and interpretations are correct. So, all we really have is interpretations containing a percentage of probability. We have "MODELS" constructed about ancient cultures and how they functioned and what their content was. But THE MAP IS NOT THE TERRITORY. THE MENU IS NOT THE MEAL!!! And no MODEL can possibly show the real culture or any of its aspects or elements. Models can only function according to "perhaps", "possibly", "maybe", etc.
No MODEL is completely factual. Especially not when it comes to anything ages old!
So I recommend rejecting TRUE BELIEF completely. Stay skeptical when it comes to ANY present-day models. Weigh in your own mind how possible or probable their content may be. But NEVER believe without question as if you're a mind-bombed patsie.
Reject Acharya S. and her crack-brained notions which are connected to absolutely NOTHING except the equally _base_less notions of earlier writers of the same ilk. Reject any and all specialists, experts, and high-handed authorities who issue dictums without providing clear and precise detail to back up everything they insist is "true", and who state as "Fact" what is only interpretation or modeling.
Doubt will never fail you. True Belief always will.

Lucky 13970 has once again displayed his imbecility here. "Fucking idiot" is just the type of comment that he and all of the rest of the followers/groupies of Acharya S. are only capable of. When they can't win a discussion, and when their insane ideals are shot to pieces, they immediately lapse into profanity and other desperate tactics to try and hide just how impotent they and their stance really is.
If anyone reading this doubts what I've said about Lucky here, just look through this forum and read ALL of his many posts. Consider their content. Consider how he routinely employs certain tactics. Carefully review every one of his "points" and positions. Do this and you'll soon see who the idiot here is.

If you'd like to refer to logic and reason as "tactics" that's truly fine by me. Oh, yes because swearing immediately shatters any recollection of intellectual usage. Your far fetched labeling with the complete disregard for standards of rational thought leaves me no choice but to insult the very thought of you typing coherent work. Your sky scraping shit mound you call a collection of thought needs to stop before you are literally crazy in space; don't forget no one can hear you scream in space no matter how loud or far the bullshit spews! No one should ever under any circumstance take what you have to say as intellectual or we could have a larger detriment to society then religion on our hands.
