I agree with some of your sentiments peric. However, some of the claims that the movie makes seem to me to be entirely false. I emailed an astronomer at the Observatory of Sydney asking about some of the astronomical claims that Zeitgeist makes.
His reply: "the sun never has appeared and will never appear near crux. It does not matter about the location on Earth, whether north or southern hemisphere. It would take a major shift in our orbit to achieve an alignment with Sun, Earth and Crux."
"22 December the Sun resides in Sagittarius, and it did also 2000 years ago, though bordering Capricorn then."
"The alignment with Sirius, Orion and the rising sun seems not to be very real from what I can figure."
I was entirely into the claims of Zeitgeist until I was encouraged to do a bit of research. Please look into the astronomical claims of the film, email some astronomers in your country. If you get the same answers that I have, ask yourself why is zeitgeist lying. Peace.
